This campaign

I am Mohammad Hafeez, your Independent parliamentary candidate for Birmingham Hall Green and Moseley. I am standing because, under Keir Starmer, there has been a noticeable shift away from the Labour Party’s core values of democratic socialism, humanitarianism, and social justice, leaving many of us feeling betrayed and disillusioned.

Why Am I Standing?

My decision to run for office stems from a deep-seated belief in the need for effective and principled leadership. I have witnessed first-hand the failures of our current parliamentary representatives, both in Government and in Opposition, particularly in moments of humanitarian crisis such as the genocide in Gaza. Instead of advocating for the views and concerns of their constituents, they have prioritised party loyalty over the needs of the majority.

I am driven by a desire to bring about positive change and to stand up for the values of equality, fairness, social justice, and fundamental human rights.

As a lifelong resident of Birmingham Hall Green & Moseley and its adjoining areas, I am deeply connected to the local community and well-versed in its issues and challenges. With a strong foundation in law and a dedication to serving others, I am prepared to advocate tirelessly for the interests of my constituents and to work towards a brighter and more equitable future for all.
